June 2012 Weddings

I actually have a WR question.

Yes I am asking a wedding question. No this is not a joke I am serious this time! So I had my first fitting today and I'm getting a symmetrical bustle because the back is curved and draped so French and butterfly looked odd. The way the bustle works I need a clip or brooche to cover it after it is done up.

The clips they had were nice, but 60-100 dollars which I found ridiculous. I figured I'd look online. First look online I only found jeweled clips, they had softer clips with ribbons and silk flowers and some beads or pearls. I think that would match my ivory dress best.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a seller online that has something like this? I found one I liked and I'll try to PIP it I not I will do it when I get home. Thanks guys!

  • Tey esty, They had a lot of different kinds of things. I bought the flowers for my hair there after 6 months of looking for red ones. The lady made all her things custom and emailed me for about three days tell she had just what I wanted.

  • I was going to say check Etsy as well.  That's probably your best bet.  Good luck!
  • Beyond suggesting to look all over etsy, I have no real suggestions other than that it sounds really cool and I like the one you posted.

  • Try finding an etsy seller whose work you like and send them that picture to see if they can make something similar for you.  Most sellers don't mind doing custom work.  I'm not sure how much it would cost though...

Thanks guys! I did check etsy and most things were just small flowers separate and this needs to be about 4" I have the money it just seems ridiculous to spend $100 on a clip to hide fasciners. I'll keep looking, plenty of time!
  • I thought about making one but I'm a perfectionist and haven't used s glue gun since brownies so I think buying that alone would be more if that makes sense.
  • Could whoever is doing your alterations make something?
I'm no help; sorry Meg! I would have suggested Etsy like everyone else

  • Could you create an alchemy for it?  (I think etsy calls requests alchemy).
