Good News Sharing!

So I got home last night after quite the long day (left the house at 6:10am and wasn't back until 9pm) to find that my veil had been delivered to the house and it's gorgeous! So excited! I don't have pictures, but I got it from www.valuveil.com - fingertip length, white, crisp cut, with scattered rhinestones!

This isn't wedding related, but FI is graduating law school in a month (from yesterday) woohoo!! Which is great news in and of itself...but I ordered his graduation present and it should be here on Friday!! Well...it's being delivered to my mom's because I wouldn't be able to resist giving it to him early! 

He's Scottish (pretty much full blood) and loves his heritage and has always wanted a signet ring. I can't wait to give it to him! Here's the rendering that the sent me of what it'll look like: (The wording and everything is backwards so he can use it as an actual seal!)

YAY for veils and graduations!

I have my final thesis presentation this coming Monday, so I have to put all of that together.  I can't wait for it to be done.  I also handed in my resignation letter for my one job last night in preparation for our move.  That was pretty darn exciting for me

@ Kelsey...that is super exciting!!! That seal looks amazing and I am certain he will love it! You sound like my FI with not being able to resist giving his gift early. He can't keep secrets about gifts to safe his life.

@julb...I bet you feel a little taste of freedom turning in that resignation, although a final thesis is probably a job as well! Good luck with your final presentation.

Medgetthemighty, that's definitely the case! FI is just as bad too! His birthday is the day before mine and he always wants to give me my present on his bday! And he didn't even pick my ring up from the jewelry store until an hour before he was going to propose!

Julbgordo, where are y'all moving to?

@kelsey - We're moving to the Albany area.  FI starts his new job there on the 25th, so he's moving out there a week from Sunday and I have stuff to finish up here so I'll be moving out the weekend of May 7th.

@Midge - Thanks!  Can't wait to be done and out of here

Kelsey, congrats to your FI for graduating soon. What area of law is he going into? 

Julbgordo good luck on your presentation.  Let us know how it goes.  What is your thesis on?

@MMRoberts - It's a marketing plan for a not-for-profit animal rescue organization.

@Kelsey - My FI's birthday is 2 days before mine. He hasn't tried pulling that trick yet though! lol

@jlub - That sounds like a great thesis! It's probably something close to your heart also, which would make the reseach part way easier for me at least.

@Midge - One of my cats is from this organization.  Knowing the organization and believing in what they stand for and what they do certainly helped putting this project together, which was a year and a half of my graduate school life, not seem like so much work.

Julbgordo, My grandparents live in the city, but the have a house in Cooperstown and when we fly, we always fly into Albany!

MMRoberts11, he's not exactly sure right now. He loves education law and eventually wants to go into lobbying, but he thinks he might clerk for a judge for a year. He's keeping his options open!

Kelsey+brandon- I grew up in Oneonta! and my mom used to work in Cooperstown! Just thought I would share. I now like in DE and everyone is like huh? where are you from? usually I just say upstate NY, but its always nice to find someone with ties to the area!

NWR - I enrolled in a master's program today.  I'm kind of excited, really nervous, and mildly disappointed.

I've kind of been freaking out over whether the program is right for me for a while now, haha.  Especially after visiting PhD programs.  FI likened it to the experience you see a lot on Say Yes to the Dress - when girls try on the $15,000 dress and just can't settle for the one that actually fits in their $4000 budget.  Interviewing at PhD programs made it really, really hard to settle for a M.A. program, but I think I will enjoy it.

So overall it's good news, even though I'm still apprehensive about it, haha.
