What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?

Light blue hydrangea and baby's breath.
If you are not using flowers, what are you using?

    N/A
What will you do with it all post wedding?

I'll likely hang my bouquet to dry at my mom's house. I haven't planned any further ahead than that since we're leaving right afterward for the honeymoon.

ETA: I don't know what's up, but I've edited this post 3 times trying to fix the spacing. Sorry, but I think TK is being a little wonky.

  • 1. We're using several different flowers, but all in white, cream, or blush. Peonies, hydrangeas, roses, garden roses, ranunculus, French tulips, parrot tulips, dahlias, and stock. 2. We're not doing anything for our centerpieces other than mercury glass votives, some silver candelabras, and the flowers. 3. We're going to have about 1,200 flowers total, haha. I imagine well send many of the arrangements home with friends and family, take plenty for ourselves, and then donate some to the local hospital to give to patients. I don't plan on preserving my bouquet, but I definitely want several photos taken by my photographer of the bouquet and the arrangements.
  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
My bouquet will have white peonies, hydrangea, and roses.
BM bouquets will have light pink hydrangea and hot pink roses.

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
For our centerpieces we are using vases, votives, wire, crystals, etc.  It sounds weird, but they're really fun and pretty I think.

What will you do with it all post wedding?
I am also thinking about drying my bouquet somehow and putting it in a shadowbox along with our invitation, etc.

What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
Lilacs (my favorite!) for bouquets, bouts, and corsages
         Larkspurs for 2 altar arrangements
         Gladioluses for memorial flowers

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
         N/A

What will you do with it all post wedding?
All the lilacs are silks; Undecided about the Larkspurs and Gladioluses.

Edit: I will be keeping my bouquet and FI's bout. Bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, grandparents, and special helpers will be able to keep their bouquets/bouts/corsages and can do with them what they wish.

What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?

Bridesmaids will have pink roses and white roses.
Groomsmen, groom and readers will have a white rose.
My bouquet is white roses, white plumeria, and a few blue roses.
    All flowers are silk.

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
    N/A

What will you do with it all post wedding?
Probably try to resell or give them away.  Will keep my bouquet and groom's bout and put them in a glass case for display or something (FI wants to do this; I rather just give them away).
  • I will be using champagne roses, red ranunculus, purple dahlias, rosemary, eucalyptus, and lavender in my bouquet as well as in my bridesmaids.
  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?

Purple Irises and Orange Asiatic Lillies
If you are not using flowers, what are you using?

    N/A
What will you do with it all post wedding?

We will have 50 lillies and 100 irises. I will offer the centerpieces to family members. My MOH will keep her bouquet and I will keep mine for as long as it lives. I won't dry it because I am not a fan of dried flowers.

They will be in vases as center pieces for the head table and then I guess we'll eep them in vases until they die?? I may dry them out and keep them, but i'm really not sure where I'd put them.

For the centerpieces we are doing mixed wildflowers from Trader Joe's

What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
Peonies, roses, garden roses, rananculous, and hydrangeas.

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
Our centerpieces will also have mint julep cups and silver candleabras, plus flowers.  Some of our other centerpieces will have different types of mercury & clear glass votives and hurricanes, but  no flowers.

What will you do with it all post wedding?
???  I'm still working on how this would work, but I'd like to take the flowers to some nursing homes and I'd like to preserve my bouquet.
  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
White roses, blue hydrangeas, and green cymbidium orchids

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
    N/A

What will you do with it all post wedding?
All our flowers are silk since my mom and a BM have allergies to just about every flower out there.  I'll be keeping them all and putting them around the house.  My bouquet will stay together though and put next to a wedding picture of us in a pretty vase.

  • We have cala lilies and roses.....orange, red, yellow, coral.  Not sure what happens to them after the wedding.  The vase rentals have to be returned to the florist so I dunno.  I might keep my bouquet until it dies though...we'll see.

All of my flowers are green, so my bouquet is a mix of succulents, green button mums, green trick, and then a bunch of different textures (seeded eucalyptus, crocodile leaves, variegated leaves, etc).

Half my centerpieces are succulent terrariums in bell shaped glass.
The other half are a mix if cylinder vases with variegated leaves.

I don't have any plans to do anything with them after the wedding, all the glassware has to go back to the florist. But the succulents stay vibrant for weeks so I might pull some of them out and keep them for awhile.

What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
Cream roses, peach garden roses, ranunculus, queen anne's lace, sophie roses, white hydrangea, hypericum berries, and that gray fuzzy leaf that I can't remember the name for.

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
    N/A

What will you do with it all post wedding?
Excellent question... one that I will be asking the florist when we have our final meeting with her next weekend!  Ideally, I'd love to donate the flowers to a nursing home.  The florist will surely want her wreath wrings and candles  back...

  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
Roses and gerbera daisies in pink and white
    All flowers are silk.

If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
We do not have floral centerpieces. We are using pillar candles and tealights in lieu.
What will you do with it all post wedding?
I will keep my bouquet. For the others, I will probably give them away so another bride can have a beautiful day.
  • I have no idea how to spell most flower names so be warned!
BM's will have bouquets of a rose called Esperance, which is white with a pink center and white gerbera daisies with a turquoise ribbon.
MOH/Matron of H-same as bm with an addition of peonies OR hydrangea, waiting to hear what is in season for sure.
Mine will have the same rose along with turquoise orchids with my great grandmother's handkerchief on the outside.
GM-same rose and FI will have the orchid as his bout.

centerpieces will be the roses but on the cocktail tables (which will be half of the tables at the reception) i'm using different size and shape candle sticks and putting rose buds in them in lieu of candles.

    after, no idea!
  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?
roses, gerber daisys and babys breath
If you are not using flowers, what are you using?
we are also using silk rose pomanders

What will you do with it all post wedding?
no idea..... we are going to bring all of the roses from the centerpieces to our local nursing home

  • What type of flowers are you using for your wedding?

Mostly tigerlillies, calla lillies, and gerbera daisies, but I don't really know. I just picked a few pictures of bouquets I liked, and my MIL and her friend are doing them for me. I live 2 hours from where the wedding is and they both live in town, so it works out nicely!
If you are not using flowers, what are you using?

    n/a

What will you do with it all post wedding?

Probably keep a few arrangements until they die, pawn some off on wedding guests, and donate the rest!
