Won my Save the Dates, but we have to have a picture ready by Monday!

EEK!  I won my Save the Date cards on a blog, but I have to have a picture ready to go by Monday or we'll just have cards with text.

We have an engagement session in our photography package, but weren't planning on doing that until the summer.  I figured that we can get a photog friend to take a few pictures of us on Sunday and see if we like the images enough to use.  If not, we'll go with text only cards.

Here's where I need you all.  What the heck am I supposed to wear?  Should we wear cold weather clothes?  It's chilly here right now.  Casual? Dressy?

I would say casual. We want to have fun with our pictures so that's how we're going to dress. I would dress for the weather. I personally hate being cold, so I would dress warm.

Wear what you want to wear!  I know, not helpful.  What I'm trying to say is:

 - Something you feel comfortable posing in
 - Something you feel you look good in
 - Something that's YOU - if you don't wear dresses, don't suddenly show up on a Save the Date postcard in a LBD
 - Consider possibly wearing clothes that match, or at least fall in line with, your wedding colors, since they're for your Save the Dates!
 - DEFINITELY coordinate your outfit with FI!

Are you dead set on having your picture on the STDs?  Maybe they can use a nice graphic that goes with your wedding theme/colors/style?

Any pretty places you can take pictures inside, so you aren't all bundled up? That would get rid of the cold weather part.

Won't we all be sending our Save the Dates during cold weather?  I actually like winter clothes better than summer.

My photog friend is going to shoot us tomorrow.  I'm going to wear my favorite skirt (Burberry plaid...a splurge from a while ago) and a tailored J. Crew blazer that has rubbles at the ciff and collar.  I want to use a black & white picture on the cards.

I'm toying with having her take a few pictures just of our feet with my golden retriever sitting between us.  So, my shoes, dog paws, and FI's shoes.  I'm kind of in love with the idea right now. 

We'll see...sorry for my freak out!  I was thrilled to win, but was flustered by the timing!
