Hello June Brides!!!

Hi everyone!!! I'm new to this board! My FI and I have set a date of June 9, 2012 and I'm so excited. We went back and forth with the date and finally picked one. I haven't planned much yet and most of my planning will be done around breaks from school. I'm in grad school getting my PhD and planning a wedding!!! I hope to get a lot of ideas from you ladies and get to know you all.

Congratulations!!! Welcome to the June 2012 board. I completely understand where you are coming from. I got engaged last March and did a little planning in between semesters, however it has completely come to a stop. I graduate this December, so I'm planning on picking up the planning pieces where I left of. It is definitely hard going to school and planning a wedding at the same time, but with our long engagement it is definitely possible Looking foward to sharing ideas!!!

Congrats!!! I am hoping to go look at some venues in VA while I'm on spring break and most of my planning will be during the summer. Its also pretty hard planning a wedding in another state lol I'm looking forward to sharing ideas as well

Thanks everyone...@sprtychick I'm from the small town of South Hill,VA..we really want a beach wedding so we're looking at VA Beach but our backup plan is to get married in my hometown.

Congratulations on your engagement and welcome! Not being from, or ever been to, VA, I can't really help you much in the planning department but definitely get onto that board and get advice from the locals! Since you said you might end up getting married in your home town, I would put more focus on VA but still inquire around home so you're not having to do frantic searches if you change location.

Congrats! We've also decided on 6-9-12, am in grad school too although there is not much around me, I've already got some things done. Good luck on your planning!

@meeko84, I've heard of South Boston. I am originally from Richmond but now live in Roanoke. Have fun planning a beach wedding!!

Welcome to the board! I'm in school for my undergrad in social work and graduate in May. Our wedding is June 9, 2012. Can't wait till this June so we can say we are a year away.
