So I know ours will be way more special and fun, but an accquaintance from college is getting married at the exact same venue as us, the night before!!! A bunch of our friends are going to both, same weekend, same place. Their invitations just came in. What are the odds?  Kinda bummed. Just needed to vent.

That's odd....but it could be worse.  And I'm sure yours will be great!!

My brother is getting married 2 weeks after me, 1000 miles away, and picked a date my then husband can't come....if that helps any.  LOL

I completely understand why you're bummed BUT like you said your night will be totally different and unique. A different mix of people, different decorations, different music, different vibe.

Think of how many college friends will benefit from having two weddings in the same area in one weekend.  Try to look at it in a positve light.  Everything aside from the venue will be different about each wedding, and yours will be amazing and special.  Don't stress!

Both my brother and my soon to be brother in law announced that they are expecting a baby and my FBIL announced they are getting married. This has all happened within the last month, so I can understand being kinda bummed and feeling like your thunder has been a bit stolen. I am happy for them but it can be a bummer when you look forward to being the center of it all.
