Hi all, haven't been on here in a while due to work and house hunting. I posted this on the FB group but I figured I'd post it here and also give a house hunting update.
We got part of our wedding party/parents gifts! They're curling stone paperweights and we're hoping to get their initials engraved on them. Again, only part of their gifts, but the part we're most excited about. Here's a picture:

We still haven't found anything nice enough, so we're looking into building either right now (a starter home until we can afford to build a nicer one) or in a couple of years. Waiting a couple of years would give us more time and money to pay off my loans and build up my credit, but it would be nice to have more space...
We're going to see one that has potential hopefully today or Wednesday. We have until January 27th to tell the leasing office what we're going to do, so if we don't find anything by then we'll just passively look (we can get out of our lease when it's convenient for the office).
