I am FINALLY certified to teach in Massachusetts! It took me a while because I went to school in NY so they had to verify all of my classes and such to make sure I completed a program in compliance with MA requirements. I'm so excited and have already applied for a job!

Jaime I'm currently looking for positions close to us in RI. We're only 15 minutes from Seekonk and I'd be willing to go as far as Worcester (which is where I applied yesterday).

Yaay, congrats! I know that is a good feeling. I was doing an alternative certification program while I was teaching and finally got my certificate in December.

Nice!  Good luck :)  I teach in Sharon.  When I graduated from school in Boston I literally applied from Boston north to Malden, south to Plymouth, and west to Framingham and everything in between.  I finally found one and love it!  It's definitely good to have a wide area when searching for jobs.  If you have any questions about districts, let me know.
