This app for Android [there's a similar iOS version] let's you scan documents using your cell phone's camera.  You can store the scans within the app, e-mail them to yourself or others, or send them to third party storage like Evernote or DropBox.

I scanned my wedding dress contract last night and sent the PDF to my wedding notebook in Evernote.
