So today is our 1-year anniversary. We met curling a year ago and instantly hit it off. Quite ironically, we're curling tonight. When he gets home from work we're opening our gifts, going to Applebee's, then curling, then coming back home to drink some wine that we bought at a riesling festival a couple months ago. The best part, though, is going to Tully's on Thursday (our first dinner date was the 27th, at Tully's. We love Tully's, so this is an excuse to go haha).
What I did for him was make a scrapbook of all the love notes we've written to each other over the year (most of them being just sticky notes telling the other one to have a great day). Apparently I have 3 gifts. One's an orchid plant that he bought me on Saturday, the second is wrapped up in plastic bags on the mantle (he didn't have time to wrap it properly haha. It's squishy.), and the third hasn't arrived yet. I feel like I should have gotten him something more, but I know this will mean a lot to him.
What did you all do to celebrate your 1-year anniversaries (or any year) with your FI? Hopefully it was more fun than standing in an ice shed telling people to sweep a rock heading towards you haha.
