Need help finding a dress!

I found the dress that I absolutley love but it is a little over my price range and I was wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative to Maggie Soterro's Ambrosia?

Re: Need help finding a dress!

  • If no one here can really help I'd also suggest posting this on the attire and accessories board.  They may be able to help too.

  • I would shop around. Try smaller boutiques in smaller towns also, sometimes (not always) they offer designer dresses for a reduced price. I hope you find your dream dress!

You can also check on Once Wed (clicky) and on Pre Owned Wedding Dresses (clicky).  There are other sites like these as well if you Google stuff like used wedding dresses.  Not all of the dresses girls are selling on these sites are necessarily worn.  Many are new with tags from girls who found other dresses they like better or for whatever reason are getting rid of their dress.  Good luck.

Edit: Just checked on Once Wed and there are 3 up there for sale.  I believe they were a size 4, 8 and 12?  Something like that, but since they varied you may be able to get one altered to your size if none of those fit.
  • If you can't find anything pre-owned you can look for a trunk show in a local boutique where you'll be able to get a discount (I think its 12.5% off generally)

And if you "Like" Maggie Sottero on Facebook, they frequently post where their trunk shows are!

  • Maybe check out some DaVinci styles.   Their styles seem to copy the other brands a bit, for a little lower prices.

Also, I have not used this site, so I would not know whether or not it is good.  In searching I have seen lots of dresses on Bestbridalprices.com.  I would do more research before feeling comfortable buying from a website.

  • Thanks I will look more into the DaVinci styles. They are much more reasonable.
