June 2012 Weddings

Have you noticed this?

I've been looking at other boards and I have to wonder about people who got married two years ago who are still posting.  I mean, when is it time to let go of The Knot?

Sure! Just know that after the wedding, I'm totally moving over to the, 'Invading Monaco' boards.

  • I guess I don't see a difference in the amount of time an unmarried person spends on the boards and a married person. Everyone keeps saying I don't understand where they find the time but really what's it's to me or you(general) how much time one spends on here. Married or not. One could say the same thing about posters who's wedding are over a year or two away. I have to disagree on the sticking around to be bitchy. Not every married person is bitchy on here. I've encounter my fair share of unmarried bitchy people on here.It really bugs me when people group posters into bitchy just because they don't sugar coat and validate bad opinions or call out you(general) on etiquette. It's gives a bad impression to newer posters. I don't see how spending time on here or FB is any different. Everyone here has at some point a common interest.
  • i agree its good to hear stories/advice from the old and new!! also a lot of DIY ideas could always arise from new and old. =)

[QUOTE]I guess it's the time thing. That is to say that I'm spending a lot of time and energy planning my wedding. I'd like to think that once it's done, I'll move on to something else. Cold fusion, maybe. Or invading a small country.

    This. Especially the cold fusion.

  • I don't see a problem with it at all. People have formed friendships with these people and they want to chit-chat with them and help other brides. I think it's great. Some people want to stick around, others will move on to the nest/bump, and others will just stop message boards all together. That's completely up to them and no one should be judged for what they decide to do. That's just silly.

And with the Disney boards...OMG I think I've found a new obsession. FI was just texting me about our honeymoon. lol
