FI and I had our first officiall meeting with the pastor yesterday, it was awesome!!
We weren't really expecting to have premarriage counseling meetings, so when we went we didn't know what to expect. He asked us about what we see for ourselves in 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. What's funny is that although FI and I have talked about our future, it's mostly been how many kids we want and what life will be like for us in 5 years (we want to move to a bigger place by then). I don't know why, but we haven't really talked about what would happen past that. It was really cool to know that although we hadn't talked about it, we actually both had pretty much the same ideas as to where we'd like to be that far from now.
He also gave us each a questionare to answer individually (our homework) and we'd discuss the questions/answers at the next meeting in march. I am so excited! I love finding that there are things about the man I love that I may not know, and I really value getting to know his heart better

While we were at the church I was able to take some measurements and have figured out how far down from the top I can start the design on the aisle runner. I'm pretty excited to get this project underway! I can't start till monday, though, I've promised myself that I will severely limit my wedding projects on the weekends since that's almost the only time I actually get to spend with my super busy FI!
I also ordered our first batch of thank you cards. I figured it was time since we got our first wedding gift the other day when a check from my grandparents arrived to pay for part of our plane tickets for the honeymoon.
anyone else have checks to share?
