Weight Watchers!

So I haven't been around for a while, but I just joined weight watchers yesterday!

I know a lot of you ladies have done it or are doing it now (as I know I've seen several posts about it), so I just wanted to ask you all what some of your favorite low-point meals are? I'm really bad at eating healthy breakfasts...

I'm coming off of a diet of hot pockets, ramen, lean cuisine and spaghetti.... so I could really use some advice on healthy meals! We're going grocery shopping tomorrow so I'm trying to put a good list together. I would love to hear your favorite EASY meals/recipes!!  :)

  • I've really been loving the recipes on Skinny Taste - most of my faves I have on my Pinterest.

For breakfast I'm pretty lame; usually cheerios w/ fruit or egg white omelet.

agree, Pinterest has a lot of good ideas. Emilybites.com and Skinnytaste.com are great resources.<div>

  • I have a good breakfast one that you can make ahead of time!

It is a spice cake mix and one can of pumpkin. Just mix it together and bake it according the the box directions. I make them in mini muffin pans and top it with fat free cool whip and it is only one point.  They are really good!

  • It is yummy/ I will also make it in cake form and use cream cheese icing. Which of course isn't the best point wise but it a good dessert.

  • WW has some good recipes on their website.
Also check out dwlz.com for recipes and points on restaurants.

I just made Chicken Cordon Bleu from the WW site and it was yummy.
I like to use the Laughing Cow Cheeses for things; and of course Skinny Cow's.

I think the best thing with the new points systems is Fruits and Veggies are 0 points... I load up on lots of fruits and Veggies. Apples are a staple for me; and then various veggies for side dishes. Good Luck! I am sure you will do great!

    I just restarted 3 weeks ago and I am down 6lbs! :) (I am also doing 30DS)

  • Usually for breakfast I have some oatmeal with yogurt in it or raisins in it.  Here is another website that has some helpful point values listed.  Yay for starting WW!!

(just click on the "Snack Cuboard" tab and it will have a list of items.

I've lost about 7lbs now and it wasn't too hard to lose.  This week I think I might go even :(.  I need to really count every point next week!

  • For breakfast I love Weight Watchers oatmeal that they sell - I buy it at the meetings it comes in a 4 pack and is really filling. It is one of their power foods too!
  • I lost 65lbs with weight watchers. I start everyday with low sugar oatmeal, 2 eggwhites and a banana. I eat a lot of chicken and veggies. I'm not much of a cook, but the weight watchers recipies are usually pretty good. Watch your portion sizes and try to get some activity in. Good Luck!!
