Pinterest Question

I got an email from Pinterest saying that someone wrote on my wall. It had the message that was written on my wall, in the email. Then it said check it out, as a clicky. When I clicked on it, it just took me to my Pinterest page. How do I check it/respond to it?

I had the same thing so I'm wondering if it was a scam/virus thing. What did your message say?
  • That she really liked my boards, I had some amazing pins, and that she loves my style. Then she was asking my opinion on some shoes for a lady gaga costume she was making for her sister for Christmas. It seemed sketchy to me....so maybe you're right. I was so confused because I didn't think (or if there is I didn't know) there was a messaging/posting system on P.

  • Mine said she really liked my style for furniture and was asking which I liked better to buy for her 19 year old sister. The links didn't work but sounds like your message
  • "Love your boards! I'm a design student and want to recreate a modern apartment with these pieces {insert link} I'm asking people I follow which items they like? Would love your help!" - is what I have gotten, seems like a similar idea and it doesn't go anywhere/can't find it on Pinterest actually. Weird.

  • it also seems to be a lot from the same girl, according to other posts on the nest and other websites, "britney wyatt", same one I got it from. :/

  • That's who mine were from! I hope the people know! I'm thinking theyve figured it out bc no ones able to find the message

  • This is the actual user's board: http://pinterest.com/fancybritt/books-worth-reading/

I was suprised how many people actually commented giving their opinion and what not, and went to the website. Is it possible it isn't a scam?

  • I got the same thing but it was I'm a design student and trying to recreate one of these pairs of shoe (with the link here), help me choose which one.

  • I'm just not gonna click on anything like that. So sketchy
  • Yep I got one too! "Brittany Wyatt" wanted my opinion on a christmas present for her sister who just a new apt. Definitely a scam! I didn't click on anything.

  • Mine was from Devon Case. The link she gave me went to some website that's like a Pinterest knockoff. Idk... But is there really a place on Pinterest to write on someones "wall" or something? The email I got said she wrote on my wall. When I couldn't find anywhere even like that on Pinterest I checked my FB because I know when I signed up on P, I logged onto it with my FB. Nothing there either. Is there some sort of wall/posting system on P, or is it just something this weird/scam email says?

  • I got the same Brittany message! I didn't click on it because I NEVER click on links unless I know the sender.

  • Yep, I got the Devon case one too, saying my boards are gorgeous and he was looking at getting shoes for his 19 year old sister and asked which one I liked better with a link. Definitely a scam!

  • I got the same e-mail!  Good to know it was rubbish.
  • I've gotten the emails from the "design student" too.  I ignore them.
  • Okay, thanks everyone!!
