Long Range Weather Forecast

I doubt this works, but I stumbled upon this website that does long range forecasts. I hope the prediction is true in my case, but we will see!

Party cloudy and 84 degreeds in Detroit on June 30, 2012

I hope it isn't true for me.  It says rain showers.  I really don't like my rain back up plan, so I am hoping for sun!

  • Love it! It says that it will be high of 82, partly cloudy and seasonable.... i hope its right!!

  • Sarah, I have been praying just about every single day for sunshine on my wedding day. I will pray for all of us June brides to have sunshine!
  • I am hoping it is wrong. Partly cloudy high of 92 and low of 72. I don't care about the partly cloudy but I would prefer for the high to be lower. More around 85 since my ceremony is outside. Even though it will start at 6 that doesn't matter. This past summer was awful. It would be 11pm and still 90 something outside.
  • High temp: 82 F 27 C
    Low temp: 55 F 12 C
Partly to mostly cloudy and warm with a chance of some light showers or thundershowers
I could go for no thunderstorms, LOL. My wedding is indoors, but the ceremony is at the church and the reception is approx 1/2 hour away. I also want to take some pics outside my church and the reception venue.

  • I hope mine is right! High of 79 and mostly clear and seasonable!

    I found that site too!
I hope it is not right! because it has everyday around my wedding at a Sunny 78; but my day at 64 with showers! The one day!

My friend used this when she got married and it seemed to be a few days off. For her forecast. Praying for Sunshine! :) Especially when we are getting married in a Canyon... last year on June 9th my reception site had snow! Future In Laws couldn't even get up there!
  • Very interesting!  I certainly hope for those of you with poor forecasts that it's just for fun - I think of even how 10-day forecasts can change so drastically, I doubt there's any real truth to this site.  It's definitely fun, though :)

  • the day after my wedding date it says there will be showers! it makes me a little nervous! I'll just keep praying!
  • At least it says seasonable and not hot/humid, but I'm not liking the chance or showers or thunderstorms!

  • I just found this website that shows you what the average is in the past.

  • I hope it isn't true. They didn't have the town I was getting married in but I used the next one and it said 78, chance of rain

  • @amy, I went to the site you mentioned and it was the same temperature wise but didn't say anything about rain.....

  • We're a little north of Detroit so I checked the forecast for there and another city more north...both said partly cloudy with highs between 65 and 70 on June 16th. A little unseasonably cool...but I'll take it! Fun website...thanks for sharing! :)
  • I hope it's true!! It says high of 85 with a low of 61 and sunny. Even if it I a nice cool 85 degrees, the humidity I am sure will make it feel at least 95.

Thank you, mine says 72 with morning clouds. Our wedding is in the afternoon. I am glad no rain and it's not too hot. I hope this site is true!

Except that God'll probably tell me that I'm blessed enough to be living in the South...I can't have that and low humidity! Hehe
  • The OP didn't have a town close to my venue, but gregamy's link says the average from the past is 77*.  Woohoo, I'll take that!

  • I really like the weather report for the 22nd.

However, I feel beyond looking at past reports you really can't do much with predicting the weather.  Heck, meteorologist can't even predict the weather correctly for the entire week.

Agreed. You can assume that the temp will be about the same based on past temps, but there is no way to predict rain. This was fun though.
