Bridesmaid Hair?

Are you having your bridesmaids all wear the same hairstyle, letting them choose, or what?  Are you asking that they have a certain style (updo, down), and if so, do you want it to be the same type as yours (all in updos, everyone's hair down...)?

I've seen a few styles I like but I don't think any of them would look good on everyone.  I have one girl with fine short hair, one with fine long hair, one with thick long hair, two with thick long really curly hair, and one with straight medium length hair, sooo everyone has different issues!  I don't know what to do!

My girls are doing what they want with there hair. I have two hair girls coming and all of my girls are getting there's done but its by there choice. They can have it put up or down. I think most girls will have it up do to the fact that is a long day in June and will be hot.

I am letting them pick what they want done. There are different types of hair and I want everyone happy/comfortable.

Are you paying for their hair to get done?

My girls are all getting their hair done, but it's by their choice.  I am letting them do whatever they want and feel comfortable with.

I'm not paying for their hair because I'm not "requiring" them to get it done, they all just told me that they did want it done though, so I booked the appointments at my salon (everyone is out of town, so we're all going to my place for the whole morning).  I do want them all to be comfortable, and I do think they'll all have it up, but I'm thinking they'll choose different actual styles.  Some have bangs, some don't, so up-dos tend to be totally different because of that.

I think it is ok if they choose different styles. That way they won't look like cookie cutters and will have some personality but thats MHO.

I have seen a wedding where the bridesmaids all have the same exact hairstyle and it really didn't look that great.

All of my girls are getting their hair done, by their choice, but they're all doing updo's- for a few reasons. 1. None of the girls' hair holds curls very well. 2. It'll likely be hot in the summer and on the dance floor so they won't have to deal with their necks being sweaty and hair sticking to it. 3. We've made peacock feather head pieces so I want them all placed in the same spot on their heads. 

They can choose what they want to do with their updo's, they'll just know to keep in mind the peacock feather clips.

My BMs are my sisters and my mom will most likely pay. They all know/assume I'm picking their style anyways so I picked this:

We are paying for the hair but they can chose what they want.  Everyone has shoulder length so there isn't a whole lot to work with, and one has really short hair so it's just easier to let them chose. Plus I don't care.

Mine BM are all super different ladies: fashion style, size, hair type and length. I am letting them do whatever they chose. They can pay for a professional job, or DIY, up or down.

All of my ladies want to get their hair done professionally (thank god) and since they are paying I told them to pick a style that like and will be comfortable with. My only worry is that my fsil will get a style that I's more bridal then bridesmaid.

I agree. Everyone has different hair, face shapes, body shapes, and most importantly opinions of what they like and don't like.  I don't like when BMs all have the exact same hair.

I've told them to do whatever they want and they've looked at me like I'm nuts.  I'm hoping to be able to afford to pay for them all to have it done professionally, but we're still not sure on that yet; if we do, I will probably spring for down-do's (they're cheaper) and they can upgrade it themselves if they want it up.

My MOH has very short hair, one BM has very long straight hair and the other has medium length curly hair.  They get to choose how they have it.  I'd like them all to have their hair down, but not demanding it.

I am letting them do whatever they want (if anything) an they are paying. We already paid for FSIL's BM dress so not paying for hair as well.

I'm letting mine do their hair however they want.  They are also in different dresses and I want them to be as comfortable as they can that day.

My MOH is having an updo because it will look best with her dress and help her stand out from everyone else. The rest of my bridesmaids will wear their hair half up-half down if it's long enough.

I am letting all of my BMs decide on what they want done with their hair- they all decided to get it done professionally, but beyond that i dont know what they will do.

We're having them do whatever they want hair wise as well. One of my MOH's wanted a particular salon to do her's and i was also looking for someone to do mine so I called to see if they would and they agreed. So me and 3 of my girls will be going there. This was optional and so everyone is paying for themselves I just coordinated the appointment.  So half of my party is booked with this salon for hair and make up and the other half is going to their personal stylist or DIY.

*This salon is a blessing for real since we're getting married at 10am and my party has a mix of hair textures and ethnicities.

Everyone in my Bridal Party is doing their hair in there own styles. They all have all different hair types and lengths.

I was in a wedding last summer and we were all to have low buns on the side....Honestly it was a bad idea because my hair wasn't long enough to really fit in the bun (I tried to let it grow for months and months) and her sister had too much hair and she had a giant bun.

I'm going to let the girls get their hair done the way they think looks best.

I'm letting them all choose however they want to do it.  I honestly don't care how they do it and want them to be comfortable with their hair; everyone has different things that they like so I figured it would be best to just let them choose how they wanted it and whether they wanted to do it themselves or get it done.

My MOH has medium length hair and my BM has short hair so I just told them they can do whatever they like. I think it would be difficult for both of them to have the same hairstyle with such different lengths and (more importantly) I want them to be comfortable. Also, they know what works well for them and their face shapes.

My bridesmaids are wearing their hair down. I told them I don't care if it's curly or straight but has to to be down and they are okay with it. I am being picky about me being the only one with my hair up, though

I'm so clueless I never even thought about asking them; we're dealing with all sorts of different hair - curly, think African American hair, light short caucasian hair and a wig.

I'm not even dreaming of asking them to do the same thing - it would look like something that belongs on National Lampoon.

I just emailed my girls today asking how they want to do their hair.  It's totally up to them what style they want but I'm paying for it as a nice gesture.  I need to know how much time to book at the salon which depends on how they want to get it done.
