Lots of checks and updates! (PIP) (Long)

I have been meaning to get on for a while and give an update of all the wedding stuff me and FI did over my Christmas break. It was quite hectic and we are finally all settled back in at school. So here is all the things I got done:

We finally registered over break at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. We might register at Macy's too, but haven't quite decided. It was a lot of fun but it was harder than I expected to get as many items on our registry as they suggested!

We also paid off our ceremony/reception venue in full so it is nice to have that out of the way.

I finalized the dress that my bridesmaids will be wearing and those orders need to be put in by March. Here is a picture of 4 of my 6 bridesmaids in the dress. None of them are wearing the color (which will be lapis) but I thought they all looked great in it.

FI and I also bought our wedding bands over break. We looked at a few places but ended up getting them from Jared, which was the same place he bought my engagement ring. FI went with a white gold band with a few diamonds. I liked it a lot. I ended up picking out a small white gold band with diamonds around half of it. I bought 2, one for each side of my engagement ring. Here is what they look like:

We finalized our contract with our caterers which will be a local restraunt chain that has good food and offered a really great price for us. Being on a budget, I was very happy to be able to find something in our price range that still tasted good. We also booked our baker for our cake. We ended up deciding on getting a small 2-tier display cake and then 18 individual cakes to serve as centerpieces on each of the tables. I had been searching for cheap centerpieces because our budget just doesn't allow for floral arrangements and this ended up working out really well. The whole price for the display cake and the individual cakes was within what I budgeted for the cake, but it doubles as our centerpieces and now the money I budgeted for those can be spent elsewhere! I was very excited about that.

Last, we met with the pastor who will be marrying us and went over how we want our ceremony to go. It went really well and I am very happy to have that out of the way.

All the major vendors are now booked except the DJ. But my cousin (BM) is taking care of that for me. It feels so great to have gotten so much accomplished! I can't believe we're almost down to 5 months! I have so much left to do but I am so excited!

Thanks for reading my incredibly long post. I just had to share all the stuff I finally got done!
