Finally have a pastor!

I am so relieved! Both our home church and the church we're getting married at are between pastors right now and we couldn't think of anyone else to officiate. 

Half an hour ago my grandmother called me with the greatest news. Today at church she ran into an old family friend who was also FI's track coach and it turns out that he doesn't often, but is able to officiate weddings. She explained our situation to him and he told her that he'd love to do our wedding.

So that's that! FI was so excited when I told him and I'm so happy to have someone that we know to officiate. This has been one of my biggest worries lately.

Congrats!! That IS a big worry off your chest! FI and I are still waiting, we have talked to the guy  we want to do it, but haven't had any meetings with him yet beyond the whole "we want to use your church on this day, here's some money" talk. We were going to have someone else marry us, but that fell through and now need to use the pastor from the church we're getting married in. . . I just need to get on it and schedule a meeting. FI's work schedule has been crazy lately, though so it's hard to find an open evening. hopefully this weekend, though!

That's great! We are having problems finding an officiant too. I'm starting to get stressed over it. I can't get anyone from my church to call me back!
