My cousin got engaged a couple weeks ago after five years of dating. My entire life my cousin has outshined me. She's thin, gorgeous, smart, popular, has a great career and a great house. My aunt told me that the onyl reason she got engaged was because she has been non-stop pestering her now fiance' that her younger cousin got engaged before her and I've only been dating my fiance' for 2 years. Now my cousin is planning to get married almost EXACTLY a year before me. So we will have almost the same anniversary. Now she want's to have her wedding and reception at exactly the same place as me. I'm not angry that she is getting married before me because I don't expect her to wait a year just because I was engaged first. But I am so mad that she wants it at the same place as me, exactly a year before me at the same place. My family thinks that I am being petty, and if it means that much to me then I should just find another venue. Do you think I'm being petty or do you think my cousin should consider another venue, if not date?
