Am I overreacting (serious vent)

I have an amazing best friend whose been there for everything but she just switched to nights so was sleeping all day today but she offered to be there -- and I also have some amazing older co-workers who are simliar "work moms" to me who actually offered to go next time. Thanks for the great idea though I'm so happy it's home I Just keep staring at it! (my dress)

I have to remind myself of it sometimes, too.     Once I worked through the disappointment (and shed a few tears), I needed to recognize who my mother is and what she's capable of giving. 

My mother is seven hours away and almost 70, so involving her in planning wasn't in the cards.  What's more, she's a prim and propper type who doesn't swoon over all things wedding the way I do.  She's not artistic or creative...kind of my opposite.  I throw her a bone sometimes and call her with something etiquette related.  I already know the answer, but it involves her in a way that fits her personality.

I am so sorry your mom is acting this way!!!  I hope you find someone to go with because I can totally understand not wanting to go alone! I am a sentamental person and treasure days and times like these to remember forever so I totally get it.

Maybe if you show up and she sees how upset you are she will decide to go with you but then again you shouldn't have to beg!! I really hope you get a friend to go with you!!!!  I don't think you are being unreasonable at all hun!
