Since we had to change our date because our venue double booked, the only time I could get at the church was 12pm for the ceremony.
There will probably be about 3 hours between the end of the ceremony and the cocktail hour. About 99% or the guests will be from out of town (including our families) and many are staying at hotels in the area.
I'm trying to think of things that guests can do in between. We will be having refreshments (non-alcoholic) and some light appetizers from the time the ceremony ends until the start of the cocktail hour.
Luckily, our venue has a small art museum on the premises that is left unlocked during weddings. So, that is one thing guests can do during that time.
Any ideas? The timing is not ideal, but we're trying to make it work. I really don't want a daytime reception, so moving the reception start time to earlier than 4pm is not really an option.
