My MOH and BM threw a Jack and Jill (Co-ed) shower for us.
They simply used our invitation list for the wedding and sent an invite to everyone. (About 510 people) The shower set up was beautiful and we are both eternally grateful for those that worked so hard to plan it. But of the 510 that were invited, only One couple showed
I am from NY and we are in TX, but I have lived here for four years now, and since I have been living here, I have thrown several showers for other people I care for. I have attended about 5 or 6 weddings I was invited to.
My FI has been living in this area for about 7 years now and he too was shocked with our turn out.
We understand that people have busy lives, and it is not about gifts for us by any means- but ultumately we were both a little saddened or maybe hurt is a better word- not really sure.
We are okay now- but looking back, I'm wondering if it is wrong of us to be disappointed about it???
