Bachelorette party gift?

   Hi ladies. I wasn't sure where to post this, and you are all really helpful, so I'm just gonna post it here

   Is it customary to bring gifts to a bachelorette party? I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, and her bachelorette is coming up... should I get her something for that?

No, you don't need too & it is not expected, just for the shower

I've never heard of gifts for a Bach Party.

Usually the guests basically cover the cost for the bride to have fun.  So maybe you can pitch in for props (tiara, sash, whatever) and buy her a drink or two.  It depends on what you are all doing for the Bach Party though.

In my area, we don't give gifts at the bachelorette party, but bridesmaids buy things (drinks or an extension of whatever the activity is) for the bride AND for non-wedding party guests, to make sure everyone is having a good time.

Depending on the type of bachelorette party.  I have been to some where you take "naughty" gifts (ie lingerie, lube, etc.).

I have done gift certificates to VS or some cute/sexy undies to bachelorette parties before. It's up to you.

I was at one this weekend for my FSIL and I was the only person who did not bring a gift.... luckily it was a toy party so I was able to buy something from the vendor that was there.  She got lots of lingere type stuff

I was told it was customary to buy the bride some lingerie, or something along those lines, and give that to her at the bachelorette party.  Not sure if that is true because I have only been to one before, but everyone who went did bring something.
