So I've been in contact with a caterer for the past few days about options, and included in their package is a champagne toast for all guests. Their prices were a bit higher than I expected, so I thought one way I could reduce the cost was to remove the champagne toast (I really don't see the point of having it if I am already providing a bar option). But then she emailed me back today and said that removing the champagne toast would not change the cost as it is just something they offer to their clients at no additional cost.
Really? They have enough free champagne lying around for all 100+ of my guests, not to mention all of the other weddings they cater?
Has anyone else seen or heard of this before or knows if it is actually common practice? I am very puzzled!
