I didn't see another post so I figured I'd start one for the day

Wedding rings: check!

FI and I went to Jared; we've always gotten amazing service there, and I'm hard on my jewelry so we really like their lifetime service plans.  After discussing budget last night, FI was willing to spend more than I thought he'd be, so we had a good range of rings to look at...and picked them!

My ring:

FI's is on order and should be in within a couple of weeks (I believe they quoted us the 15th or so).  I was surprised though, the ring I tried on in the store was the exact right size, so I got to take it home!  The temptation is SO strong...might have to have FI hide it until the wedding

Congrats. We also got our bands form Jared. Ours aren't in yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to hide mine too! Luckily, we don't have too much longer to wait!

I was at FI's cousins baby shower today and was talking to his mom.  She said she was waiting to hear back about our RD.  Right after I got home she called me saying that she spoke with them and everything is booked.  Our venue does a package with the restaurant (the chef of the venue also owns a restaurant with a little Inn on the top floor so they do packages for both).  For $25/person you get an entree, glass of wine, coffee, and dessert.  She made sure to check that kids had a different package, made sure that we only pay for the amount of people that show up, and that the time is flexible since we don't have a definite time for our rehearsal from the venue yet.  Nice to know that's set!

I also go to meet some of the people we are inviting to our wedding from that side of the family.  It's nice to be able to put a name (from the guest list) with their face.

I bought the matteboard that people will sign as our guestbook that we put a picture in eventually in a frame.  That's about it lol

Very nice! We actually got ours today as well at Zales and FI's looks just like your FI's.

I actually went to DB today and got my shoes; I can't believe the anticipated delivery date is in May, but they're beautiful and worth it

FI and I also ordered our wedding bands today! We got ours from Kay and they'll be in mid-next week! We had a $50 gift card from my parents that we used and free shipping so it wasa really good buy! (They were on sale, too, because of Valentine's Day which is why I wanted to order them this month.) We got the same band (FI has small fingers) but they are unisex and simple.


 


We also ordered the jewelry for our mothers! Another great deal with 20% and free shipping! They are personalized with our families' birthstones, but the following pictures are just the sample images on the site.

I got my veil!! I'm obsessed. I'll post a picture on fb later. And our rings are from Jarred and are in a safe so I can't play dress up!

I've had my band since he proposed and I'll wear it around the house sometimes lol. FI will order his band from Zales soon

I got all of our pink candy today for our candy buffet...the girl at Target really pissed me off. I had it separated to scan by each kind and she freakin alternated them and filled the bags way too full

I got lots of DIY supplies today while I was out with mom. I can't wait to post pictures of stuff - probably Monday night!! So excited!!

Thanks, ladies!  I love the band, the curve is so slight that if I don't wear it with my engagement ring, it looks normal - so if I ever decide to give it away someday, my wedding band doesn't look bizarre on its own.

Just ordered FI's ring!

And ordered the groomsmen gifts...flasks! and we're gonna get mini bottles of alcohol (different one for each guy) and wrap it around the flask with ribbon

WR: I worked on invites last night. Man, these are taking a lot of time! I will have 12 hours invested just from cutting them (with a paper cutter) and matting them on the pearl paper. Ugh. I'm sure some of you have harder ones like pockets, I am just a complainer! :P It is totally worth the money saved!

NWR: I am trying to get our spare room cleaned up so I can paint it and get it all pretty for company in June. I cleaned up a little bit of it last night. (It had become a dumping ground for clutter and wedding stuff.) I cleaned the back porch on friday, so I need to get totes to put stuff out there from the spare room. The window out there leaked on my boxes and ruined some photos. I am super bumbed. Nothing is going out there unless it is in a plastic tote! I found a brand new pair of shoes when I was cleaning! I bought them for a friends wedding in '09 and decided to get different ones, I thought I took them back! What a reward!

We got his ring this weekend too. Mine we had made when we had my e-ring made (diamond with amethyst accents). The design for the invitations is done, we just have to have them printed. I got my veil as a Christmas present, but the added embellishment is still a work in progress. Next Sat.- my first dress fitting!!!!

 Yesterday I booked the salon where my mom, FMIL, one of my gmas, aunt/reader, and bridal party will get our nails done. I also booked our transportation-chysler 300 limo. Today FI, my mom, and I went and registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. It was a good weekend getting wedding related checks done!
