Where are you all going on your honeymoon?  I am dead-set on the Carribean, maybe Dominican Republic.  I want to only spend $3000 total though!  We are only going to go for 5 days/nights because even though our Daughter will be almost 2 then, I can't imagaine leaving her for a whole week (5 days is bad enough, I'm going to cry!)

Haven't put too much thought into the honeymoon. FI really likes the idea of a cruise, but I get sea-sick, which he says wont be a problem on a boat of 'that' size. But I'm still very weary of it.

you can easily do DR or riveria Maya for under 3k. I've been to mexico twice; both times in an AI for under 3k for 7 days. It also includes all alcohol, which is something a cruise does not do.  Last time we went to  Mexico we spent under 1,000 per person including airfare for a whole week. My trip to PuntaCana is also under 3k, i'm going in a few weeks. My advice is to shop around, we went through Liberty Travel who has never ever steered us wrong.

ETA- We're looking into Thailand or maybe Hawaii. We haven't really thought this far ahead yet!

We'll probably roadtrip for a few days around the midwest, then further down the line we hope to go on a bigger vacation.

We'd like to go on a cruise that ends in Florida for a stay at Disney World, but we'll see what happens as we get closer to the wedding.  At this point we'd be planning the trip for the following winter, because we'd prefer to go in off-peak season when the weather isn't ungodly hot!

You can easily do that for 3k. I've been there many times and done it for about 1200/person. All Inclusives are great and you can do so much for inexpensive around the resort too.

We are going to Fiji and I can not wait! With all the work going into the wedding and leading up to it, we will enjoy ten days of just US time! I wish we could book trips sooner than just nine months though.

You can easily do your HM for $3k there. 

We would love to go to Thailand but the $6k airfair may kill that idea.

We'll probably just do a weekend trip somewhere. But, we haven't really put much thought into it yet.

We are definitely going somewhere tropical. We want to just take a week to relax and not feel like we have to rush here or rush there. We're not quite sure where yet. We have had lots of friends/family reccommend Aruba.

We are thinking about going on a cruise. FI has never been on one and I have been on 2. I can't wait to go on it together!

We're planning on going to Aruba for 5 or 6 days, then instead of flying home we are going to fly to Florida and go on a cruise. Not definite on Aruba, but that's what I'm leaning towards, defiantly some all inclusive resort somewhere and then a cruise.

my little sister gets really bad motion sikness-backseat of cars, planes, boats, etc.  we have been on 2 cruises as a family and she is mostly fine on the big boat.  The last one we were on had stormy weather on the last day with bigger waves, but even that wasn't that bad.  Mostly you don't even know you're on a boat.

i've had my heart set on st. lucia since i saw it on the bachelor a few seasons ago but we're not sure yet.  most likely caribbean though.

We are thinking of a cruise to the southern caribbean.  We've been on one together when we first started dating and it was so much fun!

I would love to do a Mediterranean cruise, but my parents are letting us use their timeshare for basically anywhere in the world and cruises aren't included.  I'm leaning towards somewhere in Europe.  We're not planning on taking our honeymoon right away, so we still have time to figure it out.  We'll probably book by this winter if we want to go next winter.

@lilmiss - my mom gets seasick too and she has on cruises before, but nothing a little dramamine won't fix.

For those looking into Aruba - you won't be sorry

We don't know for sure yet, but our top choice at the moment is St. Lucia. We are also looking into Costa Rica and Tahiti. Tahiti flights are outrageously expensive though, so that may end up not happening. But I am really liking why I've heard about St. Lucia. No matter where it is, we are definitely going somewhere beachy and tropical.

I'm not sure of exact places but try the Rivera or Cancun.  You should be able to be at or below your budget there.

Riveria Maya or DR seem to be the cheapest.We priced both of these out recently, Cancun is almost always more expensive than Riveria Maya, i found this all 4 times i looked into AI vacations.

Definitely shop around until you get the price you want. The deals change fairly frequently. I stayed in both the Iberostar Parisio Maya and the Valentin Imerial Maya both for $1000 or less. Both were very nice resorts in the Riveria Maya. Just to give you some food for thought! There's plenty of places that you can do a full week for $2000 or less

FI and I are wanting to do a 7 day cruise to the southern caribbean.  We've both been on several cruises before and love traveling and island hopping. However going in june that is when prices are at its highest! So we may push back the HM for a few months to save some money.

When we were planning our vacation for last year we were thinking of something tropical/beachy. Our TA send us quite a few itineraries they were all inclusive and about $1000 per person, including airfare. Most of them were for the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Cancun soit is definitely doable

Well we definitely want to go somewhere tropical, but not sure where yet.  FI wants to go to Tahiti because he heard that's where Couples Retreat was filmed and he just loved what it looked like in that movie, and I think he really likes those little thatched huts.  I'm pretty sure we can get thatched huts elsewhere though.  Tahiti is just sooooo far and the time difference will take some adjusting to; I don't want to waste too much of my honeymoon travelling/recovering.

I really like the Caribbean but it seems to be hurricane season in some of the areas we are interested in, so we'll see what happens.

We haven't decided yet. FI wants to go someplace tropical, but I really want to go to Europe! We plan to have this worked out by the summertime so we can book, so we'll see you wins that battle when we get there
