Disneyland Honeymoon

Hello everyone :)

For those who have been to Disneyland what are some fun ideas to do, specific places to see and everything?? FI and I want to make the best of it in 2 days since we have to do a mini HM.

Thanks!

  • If you plan to go to Disneyland, definitely don't forget about California Adventures - which is literally right next door.  The entrances to both are in the same plaza.  Disneyland has all of your classic Disney attractions and rides, whereas I found California Adventures to be more laid back (and emptier - to the point we were just walking on rides.)

I'm a big fan of Disney's Hopper passes so that you can jump between the two parks.  I know it definitely makes sense for Disney World were there are 4 different parks, I'm not so sure for Disneyland though.  It depends on how much of your time you want to spend in the parks to make it worth it.
  • You talking Disneyland or Disneyworld?
  • Disneyland is my FAVORITE place to go on vacation.... I LOVE it there! FI has never been there and I can't wait to take him someday!

Like PPs said, dont forget about California Adventure! Plan on staying late at the parks, it really clears out after the fireworks.

  • I also highly recommend sticking around the park late at night. The last time I went to Disneyland, I was a teenager. We would hit the park around 9 in the morning (with a packed lunch, cuz food is so expensive there), and then we went back to our hotel for supper, some card games, and a dip in the hot tub. Then we went back to the park around 9, I think, and stayed until midnight. We got to go on Splash Mountain and the  Indiana Jones ride soooo many times because there was no line-up! Fast-Trac passes are a good idea too for cutting down on standing in lines. In California Adventure, I loved the white-water-raft ride and California Soarin' was good too. I'm not into rollercoasters!
  • Disneyland has the 'classic' rides. Go on your favorites. If it's hot definitely try to go on Splash Mountain. Space Mountain is everyone's favorite. If you want a romantic meal I suggest the first thing you do is run to Blue Bayou and put in a reservation for dinner time. The Restaurant is open to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

  • no tips, I haven't been since I was like 16, but HAVE FUN!! even if it's a mini-moon, it'll be nice to spend some time together (kind of alone) just the two of you after all the craziness of wedding planning :) yay!

  • My FI and I go to Disneyland at least once a month since we live nearby and we LOVE eating at Naples.  It's an Italian restaurant in downtown Disney (right outside of the main entrance) and the food is amazing.  The restaurant itself is also pretty cool...just make sure to make a reservation.  Also, Blue Bayou is a restaurant that is inside the Pirates of the Carribean ride and is AMAZING...except for the prices, but that's Disney for ya.  Fireworks in the Disney park and World of Color in California Adventure are a must! : )
