How many weeks prior to your wedding?

I'm sure this has already been asked but I want to send mine out on the earlier side (because they will include info about the hotel block of rooms so I want people to have plenty of time to plan and book), but I also want to be sure I am not sending them out too ridiculously early. Thank you!!

I'm sending them out 8 weeks before the wedding and the RSVP date is 4 weeks before.  This will give us plenty of time to call anyone who doesn't respond in time and give the final headcount to the venue.

About the hotel info, did you already send out save the dates and did you make a website?  If you want to get this information out quickly, I think that's the best way.

I am sending mine out sometime between March 30 (3 months out) and April 20 (10 weeks)... it will just depend on when I get them done. My wedding is 06.30.12.

I'm sending them the first week of April, for an RsVP date of May 8, for our June 8 wedding.

Thank you! That seems like a perfect RSVP time to get them back in time and follow up, etc.

Unfortunately I already sent out the save the dates without any of the hotel info. And I actually didnt make a wedding website because I just havent had the time and now it seems pretty pointless. :(

I am sending mine out the last week of march, my wedding is june 10th.  I have a lot of OOT guests and I sent STDs to but I just want them to be reminded early of the hotel accomadations if they wish to stay.

I am sending them out on April 15th with a RSVP date of May 22nd (I believe) for my June 15th wedding.

Im sending mine out probably the last week of March - our wedding date is June 2nd. Our RSVP date is 3 weeks before the wedding.

This. We did make a website with all the hotel info. But we also gave the hotel info to our parents so as people started asking it could travel word of mouth as well.

I am sending mine out 2 1/2 months early. Want to be sure at least a month before the wedding that everything is in place. Have a lot of hmmmmm's as of attendees.

My goal is to send them out on the 3 month mark since the shower is looking to be on the 2 month mark and RSVPs are due on the 1 month mark.

We're getting married June 2nd, but it's about two hours away from our area. We wanted to give guests plenty of time to schedule around their summer events and book their lodging. We sent out our save the date magnets early January, and our Invites in early February. We requested that everyone RSVP on our website by April 1st, so we'll have plenty of time for any complications. Our guest list is small, only 85 guests, so it may be that we just felt comfortable with our guests and people were eagerly asking for the invites (I had planned on sending them out later, say March 1st..but I got too excited after making them myself! haha)
