Registry

Is anyone using www.myregistry.com?  I used it because you can register from any site- you don't have to go into each store individually and you can do it all online.  However I don't think The Knot supports or recognizes it.  Where did you guys do your registries?

Re: Registry

  • Mine are at Amazon.com and Macy's. Amazon is awesome because you can put almost anything on there! And you have many different brands to choose from. TK doesn't recognize Amazon, so I had to make a link to it for the website. It wasn't hard to do at all.

I attended a friend's shower and she used myregistry.com.  I didn't love it as a guest. You click on an item and then you have to manually return to myregstirty to indicate that it's been bought. This would make me think I'd receive duplicates from guests who wouldn't mark the gift as bought.  It's also slow to load and I personally don't like the interface.

  • Amazon.com, BB&B and Home Depot.

BTW - I answered a question of yours from an older post by paging you about halfway down the first page.
  • I'm using it. It can be a little more work than a regular store reigstry, but it allows me to put anything on from anywhere which is what we needed. We found things we wanted/needed at several different stores and didn't want to register at a ton of different stores for 3 items each, so we made this one.
  • Target, Kohl's & Menards

We have lived together for a while and own our own home, so we thought Menards would be a good option to get a lot of the "guy" stuff that we don't already have (like tools and yard gadgets as opposed to all kitchen and linen type stuff.

  • Currently we're only registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but even then we could have done it all online.  I preferred going into the store because I wanted to be able to see things for myself and in many cases actually handle them, not just go off of other peoples' reviews.

  • We have our main registry at BB&B but a small one at Target too.

  • We are using www.newlywish.com
It's a little more user friendly than myregistry. and the customer service has been unbelievably helpful and even added dishes and place mats I wanted but were not on their site—you can't ask for more than that!

I didn't use the knot site for registry...just put a note to visit www.ourweddingsitetitle.com
