RSVP Question

We're waiting to hear back on some RSVPs. They were due Wednesday. An estimate of the meals is due two weeks before and final one week before. How long should we wait til we assume it's a no?

We also had a GM go to an usher and he was fine with that. He wanted to be with his FI anyways but they haven't sent their response in either. I asked his FI twice to send it in and she hasn't. He also hasn't gotten measued for his tux. It needs to be done by next week at the latest. So when should we assume they'll be no shows as well? FI and I already think they aren't going to come.

If I were you, I'd never assume a no. I would wait until a week after the responses are due, so this coming Wednesday, and start calling everyone that you haven't heard from yet.

Just because you didn't get a response, doesn't mean they didn't send it. I know a few of my invitations got lost in the mail and were never delivered to the address nor returned to me. You don't want to get stuck with extra people showing up and not having a seat or dinner to eat.

I should've added that we've contacted everyone. I didn't have numbers for 2 couples so I facebook messaged them. One has been posting status updates so I'm not sure if he's going to respond

My mom will get answers from all of her guests then we will have 3 couples left to hear from that I'm not sure we will

How soon do you need your numbers in? I would wait until a week before that and try to contact them one more time, just to be on the safe side.

An estimated meal count is due on the 21st and final head count is due on the 28th. The absolute latest tuxes can be done is 2 weeks before

I'd contact everyone one more time and give them a final date that you'll need to know their response by. Something along the lines of "If we don't hear from you by 5/25 then we'll assume you wont be able to make it."

<strong>This. A million times. </strong> If people are truly that inconsiderate, I have no desire to accommodate them, especially after they received an invitation with an RSVP date <em>and</em> you have tried to contact them after the deadline multiple times.  But I'm just mean like that ;)

Lol yeah I figured I contacted them and if they're gonna do other stuff on FB and not respond then I'm not gonna keep responding

I heard back from one of the couples last night. I think I'm going to give til the end of the week because we need to do escort cards and redo a page in programs. I already have to redo one page but if the guy doesn't get his tux I don't want to have to redo them again. Ugh why can't people just send them in on time lol

This is so funny, the same thhing is happening to me. i actually posted the same question a while back....people are very inconsiderate when it comes to responding...im still trying to track down 20-30 people...i've made so many phone calls..snt so many emails...and still just a few responded back.

i think what u should do is give people another deadline and if u don't hear back from them by that time then cross then off the list..you shouldn't have to run people down!!!...that's what im in the process of doing right now

Can your FI try contracting the usher? I would try contacting them at least twice more and give them a firm deadline. Definitely try calling and emailing. Is their phone number on their facebook page?
