Los Angelos Ladies

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I'm headed to LA this weekend with friends to celebrate their birthdays. We have never been and excited to see the city. We will be staying in the El Segundo area and will have a rental car. I need your recommendations..
What clubs to attend on Friday and Saturday Night ?
What restaurants would you recommend to eat at for lunch, dinner?
What is a must do while visiting?

Thanks In Advance

Hi there! What kind of club do you want and what kind of food do you like? L.A. is very spread out, and public transportation is almost non-existent, so you have to have a car.

I'll get back to you on the restaurants and clubs (there are so many that I put some feelers out), but make sure to go to Venice Beach on Sunday if you're still here.

Hey.. I have reached out, and I have suggestions for where to go. Here's some restaurant ideas and hang-out ideas. Still trying to figure out clubs (there are a lot and they change over the years). i haven't been to a club in a while...

    Restaurants

Harold & Belles - it's in the hood, great creole food, large portions!
Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles - there are a few, but the original on Sunset & Gower is probably your best bet.
Maybe... Stevie's on the Strip (it's in the valley). The food is kind of overpriced though. Also creole food.

    Other hangout spots...
Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Sunset Blvd, Walk of Stars, Chinese Mann Theatre
Universal Citywalk (it's near Universal Studios and has restaurants, comedy clubs, movie theatre)
The J Spot Comedy Club - not too far from where you're staying. It's owned by J. Anthony Brown (I think that's his name)
Chocolate Sundaes at the Laugh Factory - it's a comedy club (every night) and Sunday night is Chocolate Sundaes (my wedding DJ is the DJ there on Sundays).
Hillhurst Ave in Los Feliz for restaurants...

Here's something I just got for Friday night - a club...

Foreplay Fridays presents The Fishnet & Fedora Edition
Sexy Ladies wearing fishnets & suave gentlemen rockin' fedoras
It's going down this Friday the 13th!
    10pm – 2am
    FOREPLAY FRIDAY'S
    NOLA'S RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
    734 E. 3RD STREET.
    LOS ANGELES CA. 90013

    I hope this helps...
  • Here's another couple of suggestions:

Post and Beam in Baldwin Hills
Pips (Pizza and Pasta) - on LaBrea

Both are Black Owned businesses... the guy who owns Pips is pretty well known around my circle of friends and we had a birthday brunch for FI there a while back.
