Runner?

I am trying to decide if I want a runner. My wedding is outside in the grass so do I really need one? I like the way they look, but Lawd knows I do not need to spend another dime on stuff I'm not going to use again. I'm also afraid my heal will poke a hole in it.

For those of you having ouside weddings are you having a runner?

Re: Runner?

  • I'm not. We are getting married outside too, although we are on the patio and not the grass. But I will just line the aisle with petals. As you said another thing I'm not going to use again!

  • I'm not having a runner but I am having rose petals scattered down the aisle. I think the runner would be difficult to keep hole free in the grass.
  • I agree with the hole poke! 86 the runner...

  • I am not having our wedding outside, but I have been debating on the flower aisler side runners. The idea came from brides who were doing outside weddings. I'm going to DYI this. However, before this, I was not doing one.

  • As far as your heels, a company sells a thing called Solemate, that is a cap to put on the bottom of your heel so you wont sink into the ground. If you wanna use something other than a runner, there is a company called flyboy.com that sells biodegradable flower petals. I am not sure ihow much is needed for an aisle, but it could be less expensive than a runner. Or go to Michaels they sell big boxes of fake flower petals and if you setup a rewards program they always give discounts for 40% off all the time.

  • Thanks yall. No runner for me. I think I'll do the petals since it is in a arboretum to go with the rest of the flowers. Plus I just spent $25 on some napkins that were on sale thanks to a certain sissy! Wink

  • The runner is a central piece to our decor but our ceremony will be on concrete. I have heard that aisle runners and grass do not mix. But those petal runners look amazing!
