Since my wedding is in 2 days... I just wanted to share how far I have come.
I started planning my wedding 2 years ago. At the time, my date was set for December 30, 2010. I had this whole "White Diamond Winter" theme all planned out. I was sooo excited. But things changed when I had unexpectedly gotten pregnant, so I pushed the wedding to March 2011 (with my girl Eagles!)
It was really sad when I ended up miscarrying. It was a really hard time for me, so I took a break from TK for a minute, because I was a little ashamed to tell everyone the bad news... and that because of the miscarriage, I had moved the date again... to July.
Once I was ready to come back, I put a lot of effort into a Peacock inspired event. I was having the worst luck with incorporating Peacock into the Ceremony, so I dissed that theme too. I ended up being a "Pretty in Pink" bride.
As far as vendors go... sheesh. I lost $1000 with the first venue that I booked with. They double booked my date and asked me to pick another date or forfeit. I ended up forfeiting and picking another venue just as amazing, for a waaay better price. Its about an hour drive for me, but the deal Im getting is worth it.
I recently lost my wedding planner. She has to get foot surgery this week and needs 2 weeks recovery. I was bummed, but I got my money back, so I was happy about that.
My CAKE DRAMA! The bakery that I picked has awful customer service, but the cake is AMAZING!! The owners mother told me that my cake wasn't expensive enough to travel to LA, and that they were putting more work into my cake than it was even worth. I couldn't believe it!
My dj is the best ever. He was my first vendor and has been with me through the entire process. I just talked to him today and he said he's gifting me FREE LIGHTING! I am so happy, my wedding will be amazing!
I changed dresses. The first dress I bought was pretty... but it wasn't amazing. The dress I have now is AMAZING!!
Wow, I know that was long, but I just wanted to share with you guys the stuff I was too embarrassed to share before. I felt like I was drama queen with all that stuff. LOL.
