For the brides with glasses...

Are you wearing your glasses or wearing contacts? Everyone keeps asking me if I'm wearing contacts and that I should wear them instead of my glasses. What are you ladies doing?

I am wearing contacts. I switch out day to day between them and my glasses depending how bad my allergies are anyway so I will still look like "me".

I will be wearing contacts. I randomly switch between the two every few months but always wear contacts on most special occasions or when I know a lot of pictures will be taken.

    Contacts!

I really hate wearing my glasses but since I have to be to work so early in the morning I just don't want to fool with them.  But on weekends it's the contacts!

I had the same dilemma, as soon as I got engaged everyone was like you're wearing contacts right?  I was like um no, I wear glasses--have you seen me in contacts except to occasionally wear fake eyelashes for a costume party?  My groom (who wears glasses also) was (and still is) team glasses.

Turns out thought that I'm wearing contacts.  I originally planned to wear my glasses (I wear them almost exclusively--my fiance has never even seen me in contacts), but I decided to get a birdcage veil with small polka dots (and a big black and white feather contraption).  Seeing as my glasses have thick black frames and zebra print on the sizes I just thought it was way too much going on on my face and decided to simplify with contacts.  If not for the specific veil i ended up going with --I would have worn my glasses.  I am going to wear contacts a couple days before though to get used to having them in again, so I'm not dealing with my eyes being irritated the day of (my eyes water like crazy with contacts sometimes).  I would try your veil on with your glasses, if you're ok with it aesthetically, rock em!

I hear you, I hadn't thought about it either, i haven't worn contacts more than a handful of times in the past 5 years.  My fiance is still teasing me abou caving in to peer pressure.  People got really invested in it though--I had one friend sent me an email of brides in glasses as some sort of indictment--I just replied that I thought they looked great ;)

If only I wasn't too lazy to look for another veil--it came with my dress (the lady at the dress shop custom made it for me). With 2 weeks to go my desire for no additional wedding projects trumps my desire to look like me.

    I will be wearing contacts...

There was a local Knottie whos wedding I went to who had the same dilemma. She ALWAYS wore glasses but was thinking about contacts for the day of. What she did was find a cute fram that she liked and she got them dyed to match her wedding colors...they were BEAUTIFUL!!!

I'm wearing my contacts.  I got glasses at 15 and my parents wouldn't let me get contacts when I turned 18 I got them and they are my best friends.  I hardly ever wear my glasses so I wouldn't be me if I wore them.  FI wears glasses and all I can think of is if I wear mine too is they are gonna hit each other when we kiss

I am wearing my contacts. I actually just got my contacts back a couple of weeks ago. I have worn them regularly in about a year. But I started off with contacts at the age of 15-19 then I got me some glasses.

wearing my glasses. I haven't ever worn contacts and have no interest to do so (been wearing glasses since I was in the 3rd grade). They're pretty much a part of me at this point and I love the frames I have now and they suit me so well I can't see myself without them, even on my big day. And to me, they sort of have a retro vibe which (as anyone knows lol) is my THING. Love the retro look and my glasses will fit right in with my big day. IF I decide I don't want to wear them for specific photos I'll just take them off but I'm so madly in love with these frames I don't think that'll happen :P

I will be wearing my glasses...my mother asked me the same question on Christmas. I hadn't even thought about it. I love my glasses and my FI does too. I haven't worn contacts since high school.

I am definitely wearing my glasses!!!!. I have worn them for basically my entire life and I have never worn contacts. In fact some would say I obsessed because I have five pairs in my current prescription. I see them as necessary accessories. My biggest concern for my wedding day is that I look like myself and that means dark square/rectangle glasses for me. My wedding is 9 months away and I am already on the search for a fabulous new pair. I would say do what makes you feel most comfortable and if that's wearing glasses go for it (the ones you have on in your sig look very nice on you).

I will be wearing contacts. I wear my glasses for work and when I am feeling lazy, lol I only wear my contacts when I am trying to do something big and the wedding is definitely something more than big.
