How Did You All Deal With

your "friends" asking if they are being in the wedding?

i have not been in a wedding since i was 6 and a few of my friends have ASSumed that they were going to be in my wedding and are extra crispy shaty that they will not be in my wedding...

Now me being the gemini that i am tell them bluntly no you are not going to be a bridesmaid
am i wrong?
cause right now i am highly annoyed

  • LOL 1st of all thats rude to just automatically assume that you can be in somebody wedding hell its just a honor to be invited to be there...and i wouldnt feel bad i would tell'em no and keep it moving hopefully they dont take it to heart..

  • I don't know how I would handle this. There were people that said "I know i'm in your wedding". and I just kind of laughed it off and switched the subject real quick. I'm sure they figured it out by now.

  • I was kind of blunt with it. As in:

her: I know I'm one of your bridesmaids
me: Ummmm, I already have my wedding party selected. I only chose people who knows FI and know what we have been through
her: oh well I'm doing something right
me: no. ( all the while thinking- you're probably not even invited)

I had this conversation like 4 times. I caved with one person so she is a hostess. She wants to buy a dress and everything. I'm like whatever, you won't be in the bridal party pics wear whatever you like.

  • I had that same problem most of my girlfriends that I went to highschool with assume they were going to be in my wedding. I only wanted those that have been there for me through thick and thin. So what I said to them "I just want all my good friends to come and have a good time but I have not forgot about you plus I dont want a huge wp". I am have them a corsage made for 5 of my friends that I grew up with. They will be honorary Bridesmaids. They seem to be ok with that.
