Aisle Song

I know this was discussed a while ago but I cannot find it. What song are you walking down the aisle to?

Jamie Foxx "Wedding Song". My brother is singing it, so I'm changing a couple of the words so it's geared towards my FI.

Pretty sure it will be "The One He Kept for Me" by Maurette Brown Clark...before this I was torn between "You" by Jesse Powell and "Back at One" by Brian McKnight.

I decided that I really wanted to incorporate my faith into the aisle song though so the song I chose was better for me.

Star Wars: A New Hope music from the Throne Room at the end scene. Starts out like the wedding march but goes to Star Wars music. :)

I walked down to "If This Isn't Love" by Jennifer Hudson.  Actually my entire wedding party did and I walked out to the high note toward the end.  Worked out perfect.  There's another song by J Hud though that a lot of brides looove but I can't think of the name of it at the moment.  I'll repost if I do.

Either The One He Kept For Me or Make Me Whole by Amel (can't spell her last name, LOL)....I'm leaning towards Amel's song for seating of parents & processional & the other song for as I walk down the aisle.

I love love love the J Hudson "Giving Myself To You" song, but a couple of people said that it has a sexual connotation to it so I decided not to use it. My thoughts were that even if it does, most of the people at the wedding probabaly have not hear the song anyways, so they wouldn't figure that out.

Does anybody else see that in the song?

I don't think the song is sexual but she does say body and soul so I guess the body part could be perceived as a sexual connation but I think that's really pushing it and I honestly wouldn't be thinking about that at a wedding and other people probably wouldn't either.  I'm going to go listen to the song again, maybe I missed something

As of now I'm going with "The one he kept for me" but I've been going back and forth on songs.

I recently listened to this piano piece called "kiss the rain" by Yiruma which I think is so beautiful so I may use that if I decide to go with an instrumental.

Also, Jamie Foxx's "wedding vows" is so sweet.  Thats a great option too

I am walking down the aisle to "Ave Maria".  The wedding party is walking down the aisle to "The One He Kept For Me"....*fingers crossed that my vocalist will say she can sing it*.

I plan to walk down the aisle to "If it wasn't for your love" Heather Headley. I'm thinking of using Kenny G's "The wedding Song" for the processional depends on the accompanyment (spelling).

Red_980 wow! That Heather Headley Song is sooooo pretty.

Since reading this board, I've already changed my aisle song to Johnny Gill "You For Me" and moved the previous choice (Jamie Foxx "Wedding Vows") to be sang during the sand ceremony instead. **SIGH** So many choices.
