Vent - does destination = outdoor?

We are having a destination wedding and I am researching venues in S.C and G.A.
Why do 90% of these venues have the wedding set ups for outside?!

I can't do outdoors I am allergic
Plus it's hotter than a camels hump in the deep south in September
Mumbles why cant we do Vegas
*ready to scream*

Thanks for listening lol

Absolutely not. Most places should have an indoor option. They probably just choose outdoor because they think that's what people want. If you see a place you like, try emailing them to see if they can accomodate indoor.
  • No destination does not = outdoors...you hit the nail dead on the head with "hotter than the camels hump". I have to say I'm in NC & it took a lot to find an in door venue that wasn't a church. Just keep you head up & search for unconvientional (that is so spelled wrong) places that have beautiful offsites venue althoughout SC & Ga, if you can get TRUSTED family & friends involved that may alleviate some tre & help you find what you want/need..
As for the allergies ..girl I totally understand & I don't get why the signs & symptoms are like 1000 % worst down here & honestly benadryl is the bomb for relief. I don't know about you, but for me  being coherant is super important on your wedding/VR day!!

I have SIL that live in Florence, SC I'll ask her.... is there a particular area you're looking for??
  • I'm in Atlanta. What are you looking for? Also, I have a friend that got married at an estate in Augusta, GA. I believe it was pretty economical. She got married in July indoors.

  • So the main concern that i had about getting married in another country was confirmed by the travel agent i just talked to....
she was like we suggest that you get married at the court house before you do your destination wedding so you dont have to worry about overseas paper work *le sigh*

<div>Really? With such a huge destination wedding industry, I can't see that this would be a problem. My first wedding was in Jamaica (but not a "destination" wedding per se), and I didn't have any US wedding paperwork ever. Believe me, the wedding was FULLY valid as is evidenced by the NORMAL divorce that we went through...</div><div>
</div><div>There must be some hotels in the US destinations that can do an indoor setting!!!! Here are just a couple that I think I found:</div><div>

    </div><div>I hope that helps...</div><div>
