Am I crazy?

I hope I'm not alone.... I have literally looked at 40+ venues. I hate some of them for the weirdest reasons... the carpet was dirty.... the ceiling looked like crap....the bathrooms were tiny.... Am I crazy after a year , I finally narrowed it down to 2 spots and I still can't decide! Did you guys get a gushy feeling from your venue or something? Or am I crazy?

I, too, looked at a bazillion venues. I had 2 "the ones" before the real ONE! lol. It's not just you. When you go, you'll know that's what you want. Kinna like with the dress.

I looked at 8 venues but through work I've been to so many meeting spaces (hotels, museums, etc.) that I pretty much had an idea of what was out there in my area. Also, in planning my original wedding that did not happen, I had seen maybe 10 popular venue spots.

This time around I went for venues that I had had never visited. I was very picky in what I was looking for too. The venue that got me did give me that gushy feeling as you say. I knew when I toured the spot that it was the place for me. It wasn't that everything was absolutely perfect but the potential I saw to make it an amazing spot for my wedding was too hard to ignore.

Keep looking until you find that spot that makes you say "YES!". After all, it will be a place you remember for the rest of your life.

Girl, take your time! I wish I would have been more patient... I ended up changing my venue three times and losing money each time!

No you're not alone! We toured many venues. I didn't even know what I wanted in the beginning. It wasnt til months later that I figured out what I wanted. Then we narrowed the list according to that. It was a battle between 2 spots in the end.

FI and I toured a couple of venues. He was more picky than I was. lol. We both loved the spot we eventually decided on. It wasn't my number 1 choice but he was so excited about it. We decided to book it because it was the best fit for what we wanted.
