Rehearsal dinner

I just want to see what you ladies are doing or have done. How much are you spending pp for dinner? Where are you having it? Who are you extending the invite to? Is your bridal party wearing those cute t-shirts with their role? If so, where'd you find them? I'll probably be putting my girls gifts in a tote. What should I put the guys gifts in?

To answer my own questions- We figured we may as well have it at the hotel where the wedding is taking place. The coordinator said she could have the ceremony space set up for us so that we are familiar with how it will look for the wedding. She quoted us $22.50 pp. I'm only inviting those in the bridal party, parents, grandparents, hosts, ushers and soloist. Less than 20 people. I want the party to wear the shirts but haven't purchased them yet.

I just want to see what you ladies are doing or have done. How much are you spending pp for dinnerWe are doing ours at the hotel as well & they have a little bar outside at the pool (pic below). We plan to spend about $20 pp b/c we're just having "bar food" wings & such.

Where are you having it? Who are you extending the invite to? We're inviting the wedding party & parents (about 25) Is your bridal party wearing those cute t-shirts with their role? BP will wear what they want to wear with a button that has their role on it.  If so, where'd you find them? I had one made for myself on Vistaprint & ordered it w/ some of the stationary items w/ the $17 for $70 groupon. I really like the shirt :) Only thing is it's a t-shirt & not a wife beater if that matteres.  I'll probably be putting my girls gifts in a tote. What should I put the guys gifts in? Maybe a gift bag for the guys? I guess it depends on what the gift is

We are having a rehearsal reception.  We rented a space that alows us to bring in our own food.  We are having heavy hor d vors catered by a family friend so we are getting a discount. We are inviting entire bridal party and spouses as well as out of town guests.  My bridal party will not be wearing the shirts. I like the idea of the button thing though so I may do that.  FI got the guys polo wallets from marshalls so I found some cute little decorative boxes that the gitfts fit in from Dollar tree. For the girls I had personlized recycle bags that you can reuse at the grocery store as out of town hotel guests bags.  I had to a few extra left over so I put the bridesaids gifts in that.  i got them the hangers, luggage tags, their clutch bouquet and mints.

  • I'm glad you brought this up.. We want something a little less formal and more relaxed. we have a really nice bowling alley with a private bowling room/meeting room etc. I was thinking of renting that for a few hours and having heavy hor'dvors and a meal option. that quoted about 25pp. and we have 30 pp. the bowling alley is not your typical smokey old alley. well you can't smoke inside anyway bc thats OH. but this alley has been around for less than 5 years. is that ghetto?? LOL..

  • I like it keysmit. I really want a more laid back thing so that we can have fun, laugh & kinda meet each other. The bowling alley in my opinion allows for fun & chill :) I dont think it has to be cookie cutter, whatever u & FI wants is what it should be :)
