I wanted to introduce myself. I go by CP and I am newly engaged. Fiance and I are looking at Sept 2010 for a wedding date in the DFW area. Today we went to our first venue location in our search. I have been collecting ideas and planning in my head for a long time. But when it actually happened (2 weeks ago), I feel overwhelmed already. It seems like there is so much to do. One of my first priorities is to find a part time job.

Congrats on your engagement! I had been collecting stuff prior to the proposal and as soon as it happened, I felt slightly overwhelmed to but you have plenty of time! Relax but not too much!!!

Congratulations! Welcome. I was overwhelmed too but I must admit since my wedding is for a second marriage and I'm not traditional anyway, I opted out of a lot of stuff that people were telling me I HAD to do. Just starting looking at what you can really do without.

I've been engaged a little over a month, we are having a Aug 2010 wedding...and at first all of the ideas and options had my head spinning! But as soon as I was able to really figure out what vision I have for the wedding, then set some planning priorities... it all became less stressful!
