Photographer Recommendations? Sarah Rhoads?

Has anyone used Sarah Rhoads Photography? I love her style, her bold colors, and her interesting shots but my eyes boggled when I saw her rates! I haven't really looked at other photographers, so I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this sounds reasonable....$6300 for 8 hours coverage, 2 photogs, Engagement Session, 10x10 wedding photo album, 4 8x10 prints of engagement photos, and high res disc of both wedding and engagement session photos with rights to print.Does anyone know of any other creative, artistic photographers in the Seattle area?

Her name sounds familiar, but holy crap, that's a lot! If I could afford him, I would have totally entertained the idea of hiring Cory Parris. My photog runs much less than that: jennygg.com

Thanks Amanda, Piper looks great! BTW, I'm considering Harbor Club Seattle too! Looking at it this Friday, but I've already gone over all the numbers with the Bellevue Harbor Club. Did you go with the wedding package? And did you manage to get any discounts out of them?

That is a lot of money but if he's a high end photographer, that is about accurate.  Our was $5600 (Azzura) and we don't get any prints but we do get everything else in your package.  Alex Studio photography is more reasonable and have some great pics.  Also, J Garner looked really great.  They just didn't travel to our venue.

Piper is really wonderful and we paid $1500 for 12 hours, 800+ edited photos on a disc, 2 framed enlargements and a formal album with 200 photos. The Harbor Club was absolutely amazing.  Our package included parking, dance floor etc and was actually the best deal I found when looking as far as the rental fee. The food minimum was pricey, but we saved elsewhere to make it work (flowers, invites, etc).  I think at one point my dad kind of got them to drop the food minimum a little or something, but not a ton. They are in high demand so they don't really need to. The service was excellent, basically everything in my bio. Good luck!

Yikes that is insane. I found one photographer whose highest pkg  is 7500.  I can't swallow that, I am on a buget and that would not work for me. Do alot of shopping around and if you have a budget for how much you want to spend then find photographers within that price range. There are so many out there. Look on Craigs list to.You will find that ones that have been in the business longer and do lots of high end weddings will be expensive.Good luck in your search I am there to.

We chose Select Photography out of Auburn - I have been sooo happy so far and my package is 2500. We don't have the rights though, so that is something to think about... But we get a TON of stuff in our package... So I don't think I'll even need the rights to be honest.. I'd take a look at the website just to compare... I think it's always worth taking a look and comparing... There is soo much info out there and it's hard...

There are also more in her portfolio under weddings. She was reasonable but her prices have gone up but they still aren't that much.

Oooh! I LOVE Sarah Rhoads. I say if you can book her, go for it. Her stuff is beautiful and for her caliber of photography I think her pricing is completely reasonable. Besides, you know that all of the finished products (everything) are going to be gorgeous.

I agree that for a high end photog, the package you decribed sounds reasonable.  We used Joey Hong of John and Joseph Photography.  They (and our wedding photos) are featured in the recent issue of Seattle Bride magazine.  I LOVED Joey, he was fantasic and our photos turned out great.  Check out their blog: http://jkhphoto.com/blog/ PS, we paid $5200 + tax, for 8 hours, big album, all digital negatives, and misc. prints equal to about $250.  we didn't do an engagement session cuz we weren't interested in doing it, so I don't know if that would be a lot more extra, probably not though...

I love Sarah. She's done a lot of my friend's weddings, but she gets more expensive every time! I've been going through Amore Studios website. Has anyone heard anything about them? They're about half the price...
