Registry

So I read somewhere that you are not supposed to include registry info with the invitations. So where do you put it? The few wedding I have been to, registry info was with the invite. Any ideas?

Registry info can be put into shower invites. But is is bad etiquette to include it in the wedding invite.

If you have a wedding website you can include it there, but deffinitely leave it off the invite!

Wedding website, word of mouth, and shower invites are the way to go. I like mywedding.com for the wedding website. I know I've gotten them in wedding invitations, too, with the registry info in them, too. Some people... ;)

Ditto Carrie, although I'd never heard of including it with the shower invite, but I guess that's considered okay. I have gotten them included with invites before and personally don't really find it offensive, but everyone is different, so I'd stick with the safer bets. :)

Usually registry information isn't included on invitations because it's like saying "We're inviting you, here's where to get our gift" in one breath. Even with shower invites, it's usually on a separate little card. (The reason why it's OK on shower invites is because it's a party thrown for you and its sole purpose is to "shower" the bride with gifts.)People will definitely ask you or your mom or FMIL, so I wouldn't worry. I've gotten a ton of registry gifts so far and it hasn't been on any invitation and I don't have a wedding Web site.

Website, then put your website address on your reception card.

We're including ours in our Save the Dates. If you're past that point, then a website is great, or shower as well.
