Would You be Insulted?

Ok-at first I was worried that we weren't going to have enough space, but I just checked the guest list rsvp's and we actually have space for about 10-15 more people. Unfortunately, we already gave the final numbers to the caterer so I'm considering inviting a few more people. Would you be insulted to get an invite 3 days before the wedding? Even if I explained that we finally have space?

    Nope, I was able to invite some extra people, may wedding is on Sunday and they were happy. I say go for it, you have already paid for the seats so do not let them go to waste. TOYA

    I agree with the pp.. Go ahead and invite more people especially if the seats are already paid for.

    No, not with an explanation.  They should be flattered.  You could've saved some money by having lower headcount but you invited them since you have space.

    absolutely not! why let your money go to waste, just explained to them, that after the final count you had available seats and would love for them to share this special day with you..

    Honestly? Yes, I would be...especially since I now know about a lists, b lists, etc. I know if I'm given an invitation 3 days before the wedding, I wasn't on the 'a list'. I'd feel like I'm only there because the person u actually wanted to be there couldn't make it so I'm a seat filler. I'm just 'catty' like that! BUT...not everyone knows what we know. The average person would just be happy to be invited to share in your special day whether they were invited 3 months ago or 3 days before.

    I would be offended but i am dramatic like that. the way i read it. You don't want me there... you just want a seat filler. I might come out of curiousity though! Just KIR

    I'm not going to do it because this will enable us to let 8 people sit at a round instead of 9 like we had to do. Also, his freaking family is STILL adding people WHO WEREN'T INVITED so I'm sure their broke a##, rude, no gift or congrats saying, greedy,  behinds will take up the available seats. Sorry, I'm still a little upset with that.

    or you can do the universal "dam*! im so sorry I just realized that I didn't send you your invite *insert teeth suck* im going to bring it to your house now" ?
