You know God truly must want this marriage to go down because inspite of everything we just went through and had to change our wedding day has fallen into place. EVERY vendor has accomodated us and all gave encouraging words. One threw in something extra just because. It brought me to tears.Our original WC (*smh* that brawd), I emailed her to let her know that we had to change the date and we were not going to go into any further debt to try to make this wedding go on 10/18 as originally planned and that I thought it was unfair for her to even consider asking us to take out a loan or apply for a credit card given if someone is laid off of their job, nine times out of ten financially it is not a wise move to do either one of those things. Now don't get me wrong she was not all bad. I had to repeat stuff sometimes and I had to go behind her a few times too because of miscommunication on her part but for the most part I allowed her to do what she needed to do. But this one thing after the emotional few days we have had really rubbed us wrong. She let me know that she could not do our wedding because she was already booked on that Saturday. It should have stopped there right? Well she went on further to say that it was unfair for her to book two weddings in one weekend, etc etc. Excuse me, but I asked for your availability, not for you to take on ours even if you were booked. Why would I even think something like that is possible? Then she was like well you have all of your vendors in place so all you really need is a DOC. Well I already knew that one. once she said she was booked that was kind of a given. But damn could you point a sistah in the right direction. but she did offer to keep our rental agreement on the linen, chair covers, sashes and Eiffel tower vases in tact. She would honor that. I was happy. So she is officially black history until it is time for me to get my linens from her.I did find a DOC, the company is Events By Tracey here in Charlotte NC. She is awesome. She was all over it from the first phone call and her price was is unbeatable. I was so thrilled. We are meeting with her on the 30th to talk with her about our vision, see some weddings she has done and give her the deposit for her services. I am excited. Extremely excited.
