NWR: Diary of Tired Black Man

Hi Ladies!  I just watched this "documentary"  (and I use the term loosely).  It should have been called Diary of a Bitter Jaded Black Man.  It was very interesting, but pretty negatively slanted against black women.  I walked away from the film going, oh ok, so all black women are angry and want to date thugs.  Interesting.  Well, somehow I fell through the cracks because I'm a black woman and my FI is not a thug and I've never dated thugs in the past.  Anyways, I guess these men feel that they are not appreciated enough.  It got me to thinking about the little things I have done for my FI to show him how much I appreciate him.  Sometimes I go to the store and get him his favorite beer and sweets just because.  For his b-day I cooked him dinner (and it actually turned out pretty good, he does all of the cooking) and made like a little invitation and menu listing the meal that I prepared.  And one year for Valentine's Day I created a little scavenger hunt around the house and the clues were based on things that I love about him and/or memories of our relationship.  What are some things that you ladies have done for your FI to show him how much you love and appreciate him?

I got him Miami Hurricanes Season tickets. I'm getting him some little tailgate trinkets for the big opening game against FAMU. I'm marrying him, LOL I rub his feet and if yall saw his feet that's love right there. He look like the crypt keeper from the ankles down. I actually haven't heard of that documentary. Interesting...

I'm with dst10spr97..I rub my fi's feet and don't worry.  My fi's feet probably look worse than your fi's, LOLA lot of the time, I just remember to tell him THANK YOU.  Whether it's being supportive while I was looking for a new job, getting used to living in a entirely new state, listening to my daily rants, or getting me pots from the cabinet when I can't reach them!  Sometimes a simple "thank you boo, what would I do without you" says volumes.I have seen that movie and I enjoyed it.  It definitely gives another perspective on black men and what they are feeling/thinking.  The movie has a website too.
