19 kids by age 42

I just read this article so it's fresh on my mind. The Duggar lady is preggo with her 19th kid and she's 42 years old. I would knock her for following to a T the "be fruitful and multiply" section of the Bible. However, I just think that's nuts in this day and age. Does she even know what it's like to NOT be pregnant? Does she ever get a chance to be just a woman? I know I'm a nut job that this bothers me so much cause this woman is prob happy as heck in her role, but it does drive me insane, lol. Thoughts???

It is allot of children I agree, however I look at the fact that they are taking personal responsibility and razing their children without public assistance and their children are well behaved. Yes I know the world over populated.  However I was just speaking to someone who got pregnant on purpose because she wanted a baby which is fine however can not afford the co-pay for her doctor’s appointments and is going to see if she qualifies for public assistance.  My co-worker was just telling me she realized her children spends 65 hours a week being babysat or in daycare because she works and goes to school. I see people with two children who are so badly behaved. At least Michelle & Jim bob are raising their own children and living below their means. Now I would not want 19 children no-way.

I def agree that it's good that they can take care of them. The lady you're describing sounds insane. That's just irresponsible. Mommy Duggar sounds like she's happy but I just wonder if she doesn't miss having time to herself as a person and not just an incubator. Also, how the heck do you give personalized attention to 19 people - especially kids?

Someone was just telling me this. If she can take care of them all then more power to her. I'm just wondering how her body can stand in, that's a man down code 10 situation. LOL But I guess my great grandmother did it. She had 16.

No she doesn't miss having time to herself because she's never HAD time to herself! She's been popping out kids since she was 17 or 18!Her uterus is gonna fall out, just wait.

lmao @ her uterus falling out. Dst, my friend just told me that this lady is on Weight Watchers. Say what now? I swear that's the funniest shyte I've heard in a while. By the time she gets her figure back, she's knocked up again. I understand that our great grandparents and some of our grandparents (mine included) had a lot of children. However, birth control was also not around. I'm just curious as to why (in this day and age) someone would make that choice. My mother has 6 for us and I've always looked at her like she was a nutjob, lol.

If her uterus is not falling out, I'd bet you anything that she is a candidate for stress urinary incontinence (SUI) a.k.a any slightest thing like an cough or laugh makes her pee on herself.  The more kids you have the more likely you are to have it. (Sorry I am a Biostat geek). CiCy

cicy, you are absolutely right! That's why I said her uterus is going to fall out or her vag is gonna turn inside out. Uterine and vaginal prolapse is a real condition, and is more likely the more children you've had. Her s#$t is not going to say in! It's gonna try to run away from her so it can get some peace already!

I know she has a baby like every other episode. And I don't think that they are finished yet. Heck naw that is to many kids.
