Hair question..

I took my braids out yesterday and no I am getting a perm on Wednesday and my scalp is itching like CRAZY!! I mean crazy! Do you think if I just give my head one more good scratching will my scalp burn when I get the perm? I tried everything tapping it, scratching it with the tail of my comb, rubbing it! Nothing is working. What should I do about my itchy scalp!

So if you give it 1 good scratching it is still going to itch. I say scratch and on wednesday grease it real well before the perm and make sure the person perms fast. lol

Endure. That's all you can do because if you scratch or exercise 72 hours before your perm it will burn. (Experience talking here . . .)

I agree with KimRhone scratch it and grease it before you get your relaxer.

I agree with ladylum, don't exercise, try your best to keep the scalp dry.  I burned the HELL out of myself by exercising like four hours before I put a perm.  Instead of stratching, you may want to try rubbing, kind of like they do when you get a massage.  I usually take my finger and rub in a circular motion.  It's kind of soothing too.

Oh!  I remember those days.  I have very sensitive scalp, So whenever I scratched my scalp it would burn like crazy when i got a perm.  So, I would say don't do it!!

Oh!  I should have mentioned that I no longer have a relaxer in my hair.  I get it straighted, occacsionally.  It's Pseudo-straight, particularly in the summer time.  It's too hot in NC to keep natural hair straight.
