AW: That's so sweet

So my dad just called to ask me if I would felt left out if he took Fi to a football game on Saturday.  Left out, of course not!  I love to see the two of them together.  Dad has pulled him into the family without any hesitation, well Mom too.  But it just touches my heart that Dad makes an extra effort to incorporate him, especially since FI's real father doesn't even talk to him.  In fact, we saw that fool playing drums in church on Sunday and he didn't even have to decency to introduce himself to me....I'm only the woman who is marrying his son in nine months! [I mean, don't mind me while you practice your MIA routine.]  Anywho, I love my Daddy, and I just wanted to show a little appreciation for a man being a man.  FI is so much like Dad...this life is going to be great [sigh].

Awe!! I'm all smile! It's always special when your family really embraces the person you are about to marry. As far as his dad...Im not sure what to say.  Dad & son will have to deal w/those issues themselves...if it even gets to that.

That is sweet mandikay. Girl you are blessed. I think we are some lucky women to have found men that want to take that step in life with us and treat us like queens. We are proof that black love is real.

What a nice, feel good post!  That is so sweet.  I love the fact that you ended with "this life is going to be great".  Sometimes I get so fixated on the wedding planning that I forget or lose sight of the great life I have ahead of me with my best friend.
