Walking down the aisle question.

I was thinking about how I was going to walk down the aisle, ie daddy walking with me, and I had the thought of my FI meeting me 3/4 of the way and we would walk together down th aisle. How does that sound? Has anyone seen this before? If you have, was it in a church? TIA

I like the idea of him coming to you and walking you the rest of the way down the aisle. I have not seen that done but it would show to the guests that he can't wait to marry you. My parents are deceased so my brother is walking me down the aisle.

I like that idea... I've seen that before and it's very romantic. It wasn't in a church, but I don't see why it wouldn't work in a church :)

I saw it on an episode of bridezillas (yeah I know) the bride came in and the groom can down the aisle and met her and escorted her (walked with her) to the alter. (he also bent down on one knee and kissed her hand when he greeted her)

I think it is a beautiful idea! I have seen in once before and yes it was in a church. The father took the daughters hand and placed it in the grooms hands and then they walked to the alter together.

I have seen that before (on tv). It was in a church, pretty cool.

I've heard of it and intend to do it.  I think that it's a great idea. It also shows that your FH is meeting you and you are walking *together* that last mile to the alter.  It has no religious or non-religious significance (it's moreso about equality, independence, 50-50 ness, etc.) so I can't imagine that it would make a difference if it is done in the church.
